Buried Secrets (Nick Heller Novels)

Buried Secrets (Nick Heller Novels) - Joseph Finder I definitely hope more books will be coming in this series, very suspenseful, a fantastic read.

Vanished

Vanished - Joseph Finder Definitely the most suspenseful book I've read in a long while, this is a "must read" if you love action packed thrillers in this genre. I'm very excited to read the next in the series and hope many more will follow.

The Bat

The Bat - Jo Nesbo A little different than the style I'm used to, but I really like it. Definitely going to read more in the series.

And the Mountains Echoed: a novel by the bestselling author of The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns

And the Mountains Echoed - Khaled Hosseini Absolutely wonderful book, vivid descriptions of culture and life in Afghanistan, highly recommend.

Dexter's Final Cut: A Novel

Dexter's Final Cut - Jeff Lindsay I keep hearing that this is the final book in the series and I just hope this won't be the case. An absolutely riveting book in the same style as previous Dexter novels, this one had me guessing until the very end. If you've been following the Dexter series, this is a must read: I warn you though, you're likely gonna want more.

Ender's Game (Ender, Book 1)

Ender's Game - Orson Scott Card it's funny, when I mentioned to my son that I was reading this book, he said that it was a knock-off of "The Hunger Games." Even though he was obviously very wrong, I can see why he thought that. Both books revolve around a game of sorts and both revolve around the trials of children who are selected to undergo incredible ordeals, but that's where the main similarities end. A fantastic book, highly recommend.

Sycamore Row

Sycamore Row - John Grisham An absolutely wonderful Grisham book that certainly did not disappoint. Although not required, this book references Grisham's earlier "A Time To Kill," so readers may want to start there.

Inside SEAL Team Six: My Life and Missions with America's Elite Warriors

Inside SEAL Team Six: My Life and Missions with America's Elite Warriors - Don Mann An absolutely amazing first-hand account of life as a navy SEAL. So much of what we know of the SEALs comes from Hollywood, it's refreshing and super enlightening to read something like this. A definite recommend.

The Ask

The Ask - Sam Lipsyte A great satire on life, but wow is it ever dark at some points. Still, it definitely got more than a few chuckles.

Invisible Prey

Invisible Prey - John Sandford Yes, the series definitely seems to be back on track.

Broken Prey

Broken Prey - John Sandford Finally, this series is seeming to get back on track.

Hidden Prey (Lucas Davenport, No. 15)

Hidden Prey (Lucas Davenport, No. 15) - John Sandford Espionage? Spy rings? The book is OK, but the series is not going in a direction that I expected. Wish the main character would go back to his former job, things were more interesting then. :)

Naked Prey

Naked Prey - John Sandford In this book, Lucas begins a new career with a state task force and I have to say, I'm not super impressed with this change. The book is suspenseful and has the twists and turns I've come to expect, but this new job of his, I think it detracts a great deal.

Mortal Prey (Lucas Davenport, No. 13)

Mortal Prey - John Sandford I love how Sandford brings antagonists back from a prior book in the series, makes things just that much more fascinating. Very excited to see where the story goes next.

Secret Prey

Secret Prey - John Sandford This book certainly didn't disappoint, however, it doesn't contain the level of suspense I've come to expect from this series. That having been said, I'm off to get the next book.

Sudden Prey

Sudden Prey - John Sandford Another awesome book in the series, definitely recommend although would not suggest reading this as the first book.
